As a community we need to come together to oppose any potential plans for the reckless expansion of Milton Keynes.
That's why we have set up a petition to send a clear message to Labour who want to build 63,000 extra houses across MK.
We the undersigned agree:
- Our rural areas must be protected from over-development or urbanisation
- We believe any new development should be appropriate, proportionate and sustainable
- We are against any potential plans for a 'new town' or 'new settlement' in MK's rural areas
- We believe infrastructure must always be in place before expansion
- We believe housing targets should be driven by demonstrable needs, not a political desire
- We believe the cutting of affordable housing requirements is short-sighted and hurts those in most need of housing
