Milton Keynes MPs Ben Everitt and Iain Stewart have hosted their annual Parliamentary Taster Day for young people across the city to get a feel of what it's like to work in Westminster.
The local MPs believe engaging people in politics from a young age is a vital part of democracy and Ben regularly visits schools in Milton Keynes to talk to them about life in politics and take part in Q&AS. Ben and Iain also both run the annual Parliamentary School Debates Competition between Sixth Form students across the city.
As part of the taster day a group of students from schools across Milton Keynes headed down to the Houses of Parliament and had the opportunity to listen and ask questions to Sports Minister Stuart Andrew and Chair of the Women and Equalities Select Committee Caroline Nokes, as well as Ben and Iain.
Staff from both MPs' teams also spoke to the students about their roles before they headed on a tour of the Palace including a stop in the House of Commons chamber itself and the opportunity to watch a debate in the House of Lords.
