Ben Everitt MP and Milton Keynes Conservatives joined the MK Food Bank to smash a Guinness World Record for the longest line of cans with more than 102,400 cans lined up in Campbell Park.
Yesterday's (16th October) world record bid saw around 100 businesses, 50 community organisations, 30 churches and faith groups, 25 charities and 20 schools pledge to bring 350 cans of food each to line up.
The Milton Keynes Conservatives group, including Ben, wanted to get involved and thanks to councillors, members and the MPs were able to raise hundreds more than the 350 for the attempt.
Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, Iain Stewart, the MP for Milton Keynes South, Johnny Luk, the Conservative, Parliamentary Candidate for Milton Keynes Central, Cllr Liam Andrews, the Deputy Leader of the Conservative Group on MK Council, Peter Geary, councillor for the Olney ward, and members of the MPs' teams, amongst many others were on hand to volunteer on the day.
