Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, is delighted that local charity Boxing Clever MK has received a grant through the Conservative Government and National Lottery's Million Hours Fund.
Ben has been a huge champion of the work Boxing Clever does in Milton Keynes and recently invited the Home Secretary Suella Braverman to visit and see how they are supporting young people locally.
Another local charity, the 5 On It Foundation, also received a grant through the fund which allowed them to run extra free sport events during the summer holidays for teenagers. They hosted a free 5 aside football tournament for 12 years and over as part of their Gang Today Gone Tomorrow anti-gang initiative that uses sport to encourage safety at street level.
Give Back 2U UK were another local group to benefit form the Million Hours Fund as they continue to advance education and skills of women from an ethnic minority background.
