Milton Keynes North MP Ben Everitt has received his third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and raised concerns around the slower than average uptake of the booster jab in Milton Keynes with Health Secretary Sajid Javid.
After a meeting with the MK Directors of Public Health and MK South MP Iain Stewart last week, Ben wanted to highlight the importance of people in Milton Keynes getting their booster vaccine ahead of the winter period and spoke in the House of Commons at the Department of Health and Social Care questions on Tuesday (23/11). Ben also had his annual flu jab on Sunday.
The Health Secretary Sajid Javid noted Ben's booster badge and confirmed the local CCG (BLMK) are working hard with Healthwatch and Milton Keynes Council to ensure take up is as high as possible in MK, while the National Immunity Booster campaign is also having the same effect.
