ECG Training CEO Jane Lambert met the Chancellor Jeremy Hunt at a Local Business Champions reception at 10 Downing Street after being nominated by Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North.
Jane's business provides a wide range of face to face and online training to the NHS, community pharmacy and private healthcare clients. During the pandemic ECG Training led the way in supporting the roll out of COVID-19 vaccinations to hard-to-reach communities and provide additional capacity for the NHS by taking part in a trial which saw a bus converted into a mobile coronavirus testing and vaccination centre.
As well as the Local Business Champions reception, Ben has also recently welcomed Odette Mould from Harry's Rainbow and Sophie Neal from Sophie Etc. to 10 Downing Street for Local Charity Champions and Local Media Champions receptions respectively.
Ben Everitt MP commented: "I'm really grateful to number 10 for this fantastic opportunity to celebrate some of the incredible people we have across Milton Keynes doing all sorts of wonderful things to make our city the great place it is.
"It was a pleasure to welcome Jane to Westminster and give her a tour of the Houses of Parliament before the trip to Downing Street to thank her for the work she continues to do in MK."
Jeremy Hunt, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, said: "Local businesses are vital for our economy, our day to day lives and our communities. Creating jobs, supporting growth in a huge variety of sectors, their tireless hard work does not go unnoticed.
"As Chancellor, I see the contribution that local businesses make across the country to all our cities, towns and villages and this is something we can all be proud of. Not only do they bring immeasurable value to the economy, but they are also the heart and soul of so many of our communities."
