Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, has met with DEFRA Minister Rebecca Pow to raise the issue of flooding in Newport Pagnell.
The local MP has been engaging with local constituents who are concerned about the risk of flooding in the market town, especially after the flood incidents over Christmas 2020.
During his meeting with the Minister, Ben discussed the issue of flooding in Newport Pagnell, the impact of the council's plans to build thousands of houses and how farmers and landowners play a key role in environmental management and flood defence.
