Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, met with Digital Infrastructure Minister Julia Lopez to discuss the latest Government plans to expand gigabit broadband across Milton Keynes.
Local MP Ben has been fighting for better connectivity for the rural areas of his constituency and even spoke in a Parliamentary debate on the subject a couple of months ago.
Since Ben was elected in 2019 the number of premises with access to gigabit broadband in Milton Keynes North has increased from 27% to 93% in March 2024.
That number will rise even further after the Conservative Government announced funding to expand the rollout to the more harder to reach areas of Ben's constituency, including Stoke Goldington.
Ben Everitt MP said: "Ensuring our rural communities have the same access to gigabit broadband as our more urban communities is absolutely vital as part of Conservative plans for levelling up our country.
"I am delighted we have secured this extra investment which will support areas like Stoke Goldington and it was an excellent opportunity to speak to the Digital Infrastructure Minister about this project."
