Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, spoke in the House of Commons on Thursday (26th October) to continue pushing the Government on regulations for autonomous delivery robots.
The local MP has been a champion of Milton Keynes' Starship delivery robots and also chairs the All Party Parliamentary Group on Self-Driving Vehicles, and his question comes ahead of the Global AI Summit at Bletchley Park in Milton Keynes next week.
At Transport Questions, he asked Minister Jesse Norman about plans for regulation of autonomous delivery robots and the Minister confirmed funding has been allocated for further research into the positive and negative impacts of this technology.
