Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, has written to Milton Keynes Council after a number of residents raised the traffic chaos near Newport Pagnell with him whilst out knocking on doors recently.
Throughout the summer Ben is heading on a tour around his constituency to speak to residents about local issues affecting them and one of the biggest problems raised so far has been the significant impact of road closures.
The A509, Tickford Bridge and Tongwell Steet have all been closed at the same time which has frustrated residents in Moulsoe and the Newport Pagnell area so Ben wrote to the council to find out why all three happened at once.
MK Council's MK East expansion plan is the cause of the A509 closure, while Tickford Bridge has been closed for essential maintenance.
