Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, has secured action to support local residents who have faced constant fly-tipping in Wolverton Mill.
Residents of Bengrove, in Wolverton Mill, have grown frustrated by the regularity of the fly-tipping, so local MP Ben has been engaging with housing association Grand Union Housing.
This initially resulted in the fly-tipping being removed, repairs being conducted on the bin shed and monitoring of the area.
However following more reports from local residents of fly-tipping he pushed for more to be done and Grand Union Housing have now confirmed the temporary provision of CCTV. The evidence collected during this period will determine the outcome and action that is able to be taken.
Ben Everitt MP said: "Fly-tipping is a real concern for local communities who shouldn't have to put up with this constant mess so I'm delighted to have been able to work with Grand Union Housing to get some action taken and I hope we will see a reduction in fly-tipping in Wolverton Mill.
"I also want to emphasise the importance of reporting any incidents of fly-tipping to Milton Keynes City Council so the local authority are aware of what is going on."
