Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, visited the Bus Shelter MK's new facility in Stantonbury to see how Lloyds Bank Foundation have been supporting the charity with funding.
The Bus Shelter first took in homeless people into a converted double decker bus in Campbell Park, but were keen to find a more permanent, suitable place to support those who have been living on the streets.
The charity was one of the first organisations Ben met with following his election in December 2019 and he has been a huge backer of the work the Bus Shelter does in Milton Keynes.
Ending homelessness is a cause close to Ben's heart and down in Parliament he is the Vice-Chair of the APPG for Ending Homelessness and Chair of the APPG for Housing Market & Housing Delivery.
On a visit to the Stantonbury facility Ben met with residents of the Bus Shelter, as well as Chair Pam Williams and the Lloyds Bank Foundation to discuss local issues with homelessness here in Milton Keynes and potential long-term solutions.
