Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, was given a tour of the Chaffron Centre, the brand new Government funded skills hub at Milton Keynes College, on Friday (27/05).
SkillsHub:MK has been backed by £3.5 million worth of funding from the Government and aims to enhance the strategic partnerships between employers, businesses and post-16 training & education providers.
It is operated in partnership with the South Central Institute for Technology , MK Chamber, the South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership (SEMLEP) and Milton Keynes Council, along with the city-wide artificial intelligence group, MKAI.
Ben Everitt MP said: "It was absolutely fantastic to visit the Chaffron Centre on Friday and hear about the amazing opportunities it will provide to both businesses and students here in Milton Keynes.
"It's focus on technology and AI is exactly the type of thing Milton Keynes is getting a reputation for and exactly why I believe we can become the Silicon Valley of Europe."
