Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, visited a number of businesses on Newport Pagnell High Street encouraging them to display a sticker in their window showing support for guide dogs and their owners.
In a recent surgery with a constituent and national charity Guide Dogs, Ben was told that more than 80% of guide dog owners have been refused access to a service because of their guide dog, despite it being illegal to do so.
So as part of Guide Dogs' Open Doors campaign Ben and local ward councillor Liam Andrews dropped by a number of businesses in Newport Pagnell to give them stickers to display in their shop doors and windows.
All of the businesses they spoke to agreed to do so including The Dolphin, Brown and Merry, No 38 Vintage Emporium, H W Mason & Sons, The Sandwich Shack, Boots,, Cafe Latte and Daniel's Fish, Meat & Deli.
