Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, visited The Old Mill in Newton Blossomville to discuss the ongoing impact of the pandemic on the hospitality industry and support from the Government.
Ben met with landlord Arthur who shared his experiences throughout the COVID-19 outbreak and how the rise of the Omicron variant affected business over the Christmas period.
The local MP has been keen to support the hospitality sector in Milton Keynes and ran a Pub Of The Year competition to raise the profile of pubs across MK North to help drum up business.
Speaking after the visit Ben said: "I was delighted to meet Arthur and the beautiful Old Mill pub in Newton Blossomville. If you haven't been before I'd strongly recommend checking it out.
"I understand how difficult the pandemic has been for our pubs, bars and restaurants but I was pleased to hear how important and useful Government grants and the Furlough scheme had been for pubs such as The Old Mill."
