Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, visited Olney Middle School on Friday (25/06) as part of National School Sports week to take part in the Joy of Moving programme.
Funded by Ferrero through the EFL Trust and run by MK Dons SET, the Joy of Moving scheme aims to get children more active and get them engaged with a healthy and nutritious lifestyle.
The day included classroom based lessons including teaching the children about the importance of having breakfast, as well as physical lessons which included games of tag, a climbing wall and more.
Ben was invited to get involved and raced and (just) lost to lead PE teacher Mr Dean on the inflatable sports course.
He said: "I loved getting down to Olney Middle School and seeing just how much the students were enjoying and engaging with the Joy of Moving programme.
"The partnership between MK Dons SET, Ferrero UK and our local schools is fantastic and ensures young people in Milton Keynes are learning how to live a healthy, active lifestyle in a fun, engaging way."
