Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, has welcomed the launch of a new Government scheme to help families heat their homes and save money on energy bills through energy efficiency upgrades.
The Great British Insulation Scheme will support those with an EPC rating of D or below that are also in Council Tax bands A-D in England, as well as those that are low-income and vulnerable. These households will be offered vital upgrades, such as roof, loft or cavity wall insulation via their energy supplier, which could cut their annual energy bill by an average of between £300 to £400.
This will help more than 300,000 families heat their homes and save money on their bills through energy efficiency upgrades, such as:
- Cavity wall insulation
- Solid wall insulation (internal or external)
- Loft insulation
- Flat or pitched roof insulation
- Underfloor insulation
- Solid floor insulation
- Park home insulation
- Room-in-roof insulation
Ben Everitt MP said: "Better insulating our homes is one of the best ways to bring down your energy bills so I'm delighted the Conservative Government has launched the Great British Insulation Scheme to help thousands of families heat their homes and save money."
