Milton Keynes is on track to continue to be at the front of the UK's economic recovery from COVID and remains in the top 10 for the number of business start-ups, according to the latest Cities Outlook Report 2022.
The Conservative Government has provided in excess of £600 million since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020 to support local businesses including through schemes such as the Small Business Grants Fund, Additional Restrictions Grants, Local Authority Discretionary Grants, Restart Grant Scheme, Local Restrictions Support Grant, Christmas Support Payments, Business Rate Relief, Eat Out To Help Out, Self Employment Income Support Scheme, Bounce Back Loans and the Coronavirus Business Interruptions Loan Scheme.
This number does not even include the unprecedented funding provided to support the more than 52,000 people who's jobs were protected by Furlough throughout the pandemic.

"I only recently visited Santander UK's new headquarters which is based in Milton Keynes and is a real sign of the confidence business has in MK for now and the future.
"This Conservative Government has supported businesses in Milton Keynes throughout the pandemic which an unprecedented £600 million worth of supoprt in grants, business rates relief and loans which puts us in a fantastic position to bounce back from COVID."
