Local MPs Iain Stewart and Ben Everitt have launched a summer competition for local school students with the well-loved Milton Keynes robots (operated by Starship Technologies).
Young people in Milton Keynes are being asked to draw their new robot inventions and describe what modern challenge or problem their robot invention will solve.
Three competition winners will have their designs printed onto Starship robots in time for the new school term in September.
Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, said: "The robots have become a part of the community here in Milton Keynes and I know how much residents love them whether you're one or one hundred so it's awesome to be launching this competition with Starship Technologies.
"Milton Keynes is well-known for its innovation and technology and I have no doubt that our young people will continue that trend and come up with some amazing inventions!"
Andy Curtis, Operations Manager from Starship Technologies, added: “Our robots enjoy the summer holidays but are always excited to get back to school and we know young people in Milton Keynes are creative, artistic and wonderfully talented so we’re asking everyone to get involved to share their own robot inventions.”
