Secretary of State Michelle Donelan hailed Milton Keynes as the 'vibrant tech capital' during a debate in the House Of Commons this morning (9th November).
After the Science, Innovation and Technology Minister made a statement on last week's Global AI Summit at Bletchley Park, Milton Keynes North MP Ben Everitt highlighted the city as an 'excellent place to invest in technologies like AI and robotics'.
Local MP Ben has been a huge champion for innovation in Milton Keynes since being elected in 2019 and has worked closely with MK:U focusing on high-tech apprenticeships including cyber security, as well as supporting local businesses in the space sector.
And the Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology was keen to pile the praise on Milton Keynes in her response to Ben's question.
She said: "I absolutely agree with my Honourable Friend. I could not have thought of a better place to host this international summit than Bletchley Park and it's not just me that thinks that, all of our delegates remarked upon how important it was to host it at such a historically venue, and of course so close to the vibrant tech capital Milton Keynes."
