Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, has attended the lighting of the beacon in Campbell Park as part of celebrations for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee this weekend.
The lighting of The Light Pyramid was one of over 1,500 similar events taking place at beacons across the UK and UK Overseas Territories, including one with Her Majesty The Queen leading the lighting of the Principal Beacon at Windsor Castle.
Ben Everitt MP said: "This weekend has been a wonderful celebration of Britain and Her Majesty The Queen's incredible 70 year reign and it was an honour to be able to attend the lighting of the beacon in Campbell Park.
"The Platinum Jubilee celebrations have brought so many people and communities together after spending two years being kept apart and the events taking place all across Milton Keynes have been a joy to see."
