Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, has written to public transport provider Red Rose urging them to reinstate the Emberton stop on the number 21 bus service.
The local MP has been working with residents, ward councillors and Emberton Parish Council who are frustrated at the removal of the service which is important to villagers for journeys to work, school, shopping and medical appointments.
While Red Rose do still run the number 21 route, it no longer stops in Emberton, and instead drives past the village. Red Rose have responded to Ben's request by confirming they are 'considering' their options.
Ben Everitt MP said: "Villagers in Emberton rely on the 21 to get to the doctors, work, school and essential shopping so I hope Red Rose will listen to feedback from myself, the Parish Council and residents and reinstate the Emberton stop.
"We are not asking for them to put on a new service, there is already an existing service which runs right past Emberton so this is simply a case of reintroducing the stop in the village itself."
Ben has been delivering surveys to residents to get their views on providing better bus services across Milton Keynes North.
