Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, is highlighting an opportunity to help a homeless person in the city through charity Depaul.
Since being elected in 2019 Ben has worked hard to tackle homelessness across Milton Keynes and sits on the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Ending Homelessness, as well as securing millions of pounds in extra funding for homelessness and rough sleeping in MK.
Ben met with some of the local Depaul team at their centre in Greenleys to hear more about their work with vulnerable young people.
Depaul Nightstop volunteers offer their spare room for the night, providing young people at risk of homelessness with the time, support, and safety they need to start again and Ben is keen to highlight this opportunity to anybody who may be able to help.
He said: "It was inspiring to hear about the amazing work Depaul and their volunteers do to help people at-risk of being homeless in Milton Keynes. Giving up a spare room to somebody vulnerable is an incredibly selfless thing to do and if anybody is able to I'd really encourage you to get in touch with their team.
"We also discussed the wider issues that lead to rough sleeping and homelessness and the preventative work we can do going forward."
