Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, is delighted that the Conservative Government has announced more than £74,000 in funding for local domestic abuse charity MK Act.
The funding is part of a package of support for charities and community organisations across England announced by the Chancellor in the Spring Budget. The Government’s Community Organisations Cost of Living Fund (CCLF) provides grants to charities and community organisations delivering critical frontline services, and which are most impacted by increased demand and increased delivery costs.
The funding will be administered by the National Lottery Community Fund.
Ben Everitt MP said: "MK Act do incredible work supporting people who have experienced domestic abuse and I am delighted their efforts have been recognised and they will be receiving further support to help reduce the impact of the cost of living increases."
