Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, is continuing his campaign for a new GP surgery for Olney after a visit from the Conservative Party chairman Richard Holden MP on Friday (8th March).
The local MP has been supporting Cobbs Garden Surgery in their plans to move to a new, bigger site in the town for a long time and secured a visit from the Government Cabinet member to stress just how important a new surgery is.
The Labour and Liberal Democrat-led Milton Keynes Council has dumped thousands and thousands of new houses on the outskirts of Milton Keynes which has piled pressure onto local public services.
Ben Everitt MP said: "A new GP surgery for Cobbs Garden is absolutely vital and that's why I've been working so hard with their local team to try and find a solution.
"I was delighted to welcome Richard Holden to Olney to show him just how important the new surgery would be and how we've already got the new site secured and could get cracking as soon as possible if we got approval."
Following the meeting at Cobbs Garden, Richard Holden MP joined a group of Conservative Party members for a breakfast meet-up at popular Olney pub the Cherry Tree.
